I’m a big fan of the view from behind, but… what about showing a face (mine/hers)?
Under any other scenario, this would be a problem, but…
Not in my case. Luckily, my characters are stylized. So it’s just a matter of finding a balance between the strength of the character’s stylization and the recognizability of the person.
It’s important to me to preserve her facial features. Her beauty is unique to me, and every feature of her face is a reflection of her character, her personality. To change anything in her appearance would be to lose something important.
So I tried stylizing a few photos. In some of them, she’s eerily recognizable. But not in this picture.
Just in case, I asked her:
– What if I post a picture of you with your face?
– No problem at all!
– ???
– I’m just taking it lightly.
– Okay, then…
